One of my favorite activities was in 5th grade. We were learning about Native Americans and each student drew out the name of a tribe and then drew out a category-food, homes, crafts, weapons, etc. The student was responsible for creating a project for that particular tribe and category (i.e. Seneca homes). We had a Native American Fair and parents and other classes were invited to come see our projects. We stood with our projects and told the people about them and how we made them. A few people were chosen to do presentations for the parents also. Mine was a dream catcher (I had crafts, but I don't remember which tribe it was for). It was so much fun!

  1. One memory that sticks out in my head about elementary school is during the Science Fair. I was in 6th grade. I did a project about how the sense of smell is connected to the sense of taste. It was awesome! I had food at my station and so everyone was there trying to eat my food. I was doing demonstrations with the audience. Most could not tell apples from potatoes with their noses plugged. I had a blast!
